Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is an American animal rights activist, author as well as a model and actress. The actress has won praise by films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969), and The Getaway, (1972). She was raised by an artist family from New York and wanted to explore a career in the artistic fields. She began as a photo assistant, before progressing to acting and modeling. Her name was highlighted in her two first films and received Golden Globe Award for Most Popular newcomer. MacGraw became a global celebrity after her movie Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as a Golden Globe. MacGraw was deemed the top female box-office actress in the globe after just three releases. In 1972, her footprints and autograph were recorded on the wall of Grauman's Chinese Theater. Also, she appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, as well as other movies. In 1991, her autobiography Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw is married three times.
